At best, I managed to half assedly automate my power regeneration. Im pretty staunchly against anything that automates PvE or PvP. Using macros for Minstrels and Paladin's to twist is automating something that takes skill, and directly affects the gameplay of yourself and others. This isn't an eSport and not everything has to be viewed as a slippery slope - it's less of a slope and more of a train car with brakes that can be activated by the conducter at will. Macro dark age of camelot paladin how to#Next: If its (strictly) forbidden and punished and If I notice someone doing it (and sometimes its quite easy (chants, songs, charmspamm) to see), how to report? /appeal? Do I need any evidence? Usually it is really easy proofed by server logs. I havent downloaded a program that performs actions! It´s just my mouse/keyboard and their drivers!" Macro dark age of camelot paladin drivers#"I´m not using a "macro tool" on my keyboard keys, I´m just using the drivers for my mouse and keyboard. ![]() "I´m not using a "macro tool", my keyboard keys are able to do it!" Crafting tools werent that rare in the past.īut what about keyactions and their done actions to it? What? Punished? Yes/No? How? Sure, they connect "auto clickers" to crafting. Most people do not or will not understand what is REALLY "meant" by "macro tools". This includes radar tools, speed hacks fly hacks, macro tools, auto clickers, level bots and sniffer tools.īut I want a clear statement from a dev about this topic and my examples.īecause "macro tools and auto clickers". The usage of cheats, hacks, or other third party tools is forbidden. Ye sure you COULD do it yourself, but in fact you are NOT doing it yourself and that frees your hands or mind for ANYTHING else. "automated, repeated chant switches / song switches, (skill-)chains isnt really doing much, because I could(!!!) do it myself as well". To think one step further: "not really doing much" "I´m JUST using it/at/by." Everyone says that. Yes, in my opinion and by common eSports definitions it is cheating. It is freeing your hands, thoughts or anything else from the action itself. Not really doing much to affect others and I won't use it in PvP because I can do it more efficiently by hand, this is just to save me time while I grab water refill or take a leak. ![]() Hit a key once to start, same key to stop. Macro dark age of camelot paladin software#I mean software and hardware macros that enable many keystrikes at once or automatically performed or automatically repeated (skill-)chains.īudikah wrote:The only macro I've made so far is for my Cabalist - it releases and summons the Amber Simulacrum over and over to regen power. Macro dark age of camelot paladin free#Otherwise it would be sad and Id have to think about the usage of some of my played characters as well, to automise/cheat some stuff, because I could be free for more camera turns, fight awarness, positioning thoughts and other stuff I could do instead of concentrating on my skillchains and other stuff with ease. So, hopefully devs are sportsmanlike and aware of this topic and I reallllyyy hope they judge it like nowadays pvp is handled. Nobody can play class Bard/Minstrl/Paladin/Warden/Skald/. Yes, you can do most of the things manually, but doing things "automated" that free you to do other things with no disadvantage (concentrating on skill chains, song/chant/charm spamms.), is simple cheating.įriends of mine, playing Uthgard right now, also say: "Everyone has done it and is doing it and my class is much easier/better with automatically switching songs/chants. My opinion is the sportsmanlike thought: If you cant do an action without pressing / doing it yourself, it is cheating. I was and have been against macrousage since the beginning of that topic many many daoc/mmorpg years ago, but back then, developers (doesnt matter who Mythic, Blizzard and all others in mmorpgs) didnt care about that topic at all. I´m an eSports organizer myself, I´m deep into that topic and in my opinion and common nowadays eSports rules its: "If a key, skill or any other action is not done directly by the player, that especially means no support from hardware (macro keys) or software (programs), it is cheating and forbidden." Most people say it isnt cheating and just quality of life, because "how would you play paladin otherwise (chants) or skald (songs)?" "what about minstrl speed+charmspamm switch? same for endurance song + speed song switch of bards for speed 6?" and so on. It´s been a long discussion in mmorpgs and especially in daoc if using hardware or software macros are "cheating" or just "quality of life". This is our rules and if you automate any action, we will ban you. It does not matter what mythic etc has done in the past. Trishin wrote:ANY automation of actions is a rule violation. ![]()
